Gold Watch for Women- In the cult classic Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, Marilyn Monroe quips that diamonds are a girl’s best friend. However, professional prejudice has persuaded us at IWS that watches are just as much a friend to women. In actuality, far more so.
Since males long favored vest watches, not many people are aware that the wristwatch was created primarily for the female audience. The idea is that most of the current fashion trends have largely disappeared, allowing for enjoyable cross-pollinations between the male and feminine worlds.
The watch must harmoniously reflect the personality of its owner, regardless of whether it is worn on a man’s or a woman’s wrist. The one rule that is always valid is style, elegance in proportion, and harmony. Now let’s have a look at our ranking of the best watches for women, with an invitation to add to, contest, or just chat about it with us on Instagram.
Rolex Daytona and Rolex Submariner
Gold Watch for Women- We start with what seems to be an oxymoron by presenting two distinctly “masculine” watches as women’s watches: the renowned Rolex Submariner and Rolex Daytona. These ingenious watches, available in steel and gold models with colorful dials and bezels, add personality to a simple outfit by striking a lovely contrast against the female wrist.
Even if “on paper” these models are men’s watches, you can never go wrong wearing one because they give any lady undeniable appeal and personality.
Bulgari Serpenti
Gold Watch for Women- The iconic feminine watch, a representation of sensuality, sin, and refined charm, must be on our list. This watch perfectly captures the pinnacle of beauty with an explicit nod to Cleopatra, a symbol of eternal and fatal beauty, and to Eve, the first woman in creation who fell prey to the serpent.
With its double spiral Tubogas bracelet, the Serpenti Tubogas watch mixes the sinuosity of the serpent with a modern aesthetic.
The sensuality of feminine curves and the flexible elegance of the snake are perfectly evoked by the tubular shapes’ flawless harmony.
There are numerous variations available, including ones made of steel, yellow gold, rose gold, brilliant-cut diamonds, and the famous cabochon-cut pink rubellite. The Serpenti Spiga Ceramica (Ref. 103199), a limited edition of 340 rare pieces, with black ceramic and rose gold embellishments, merits a place of distinction among the new models that Bulgari will introduce at Geneva Watch Days 2022.
The Serpenti Seduttori model, which revisits Bvlgari’s iconic seduction emblem through a brand-new design, is also ideal for women who love subtle seduction. The iconic snakehead-shaped case, even thinner in thickness, is combined with a flexible bracelet embellished with priceless hexagonal scales. Additionally, this model comes in a variety of variations.
Cartier
Perhaps the French Maison has the most wrist-friendly versions to choose from. The Santos should come first, particularly the medium and small variants (the giant model would be a bit much for a woman’s wrist). Again, for a more feminine touch, one can choose from steel and gold versions that are either completely covered in gold or have diamond accents.
Steel Santos de Cartier
The Panther must also be mentioned at this point. The Panthère watch, which was first offered in the 1980s, gets its name from the band, which, thanks to its incredibly flexible structure, is reminiscent of the motions of Maison’s mascot feline. Ideal for the seductive, enigmatic, and sophisticated woman.
The Ballon Bleu is yet another Cartier icon that every watch aficionado must have in their collection. As the name suggests, this watch’s fluted crown, which is embellished with a blue synthetic spinel cabochon, is unquestionably distinctive. It is ideal for a self-assured woman who makes understatement her go-to fashion because of its subtlety and refinement in its distinctive shape.
Chanel J12
Gold Watch for Women- Finding a woman whose eyes do not sparkle when she hears the word “Chanel” is difficult. Therefore, it is difficult to forget to mention the J12 among the timepieces to own (or desire).
The Calibre 12.1 (in the original 38 mm version) or the Calibre 12.2 (in the smaller 33 mm variant) are automatic movements produced by the Swiss Manufacture Kenissi, of which Chanel is a co-owner. The J12 watch is an iconic example of Chanel watchmaking.

These timepieces, which come in the iconic Parisian fashion house hues of white and black, are ideal for women who have personality and flair but aren’t afraid to admit how much they adore watches and their throbbing mechanisms.
Limited Edition Carolina Bucci Audemars Piguet Royal Oak
Given that it is a watchmaking legend, any Royal Oak can adorn a woman’s wrist, but if we have to choose one that is especially suited to the modern Venus, we can recommend Carolina Bucci’s limited (to only 500 pieces) edition.
The 34mm Royal Oak Automatic in black ceramic is a limited edition created by Audemars Piguet in conjunction with jewelry designer Carolina Bucci. Due to “rainbow” sapphires with a polished mirror effect, the dial has a unique multicolored mirror effect and pays homage to the classic Tapisserie theme design. Rose gold is used for the hands and hour markers.
Piaget
Without mentioning Piaget, the house queen of understated yet potent elegance, when discussing women’s timepieces, it would be difficult. The Limelight Gala, a 26 mm spherical case of pure charm finished in rose gold, is the model we picked out of the numerous available. The quartz movement is used. The ideal timepiece for a woman who wishes to stand out yet still maintain great sophistication.
This clock, which is a reimagining of a classic 1973 design, is distinguished by its two extended lugs that sinuously encircle the case and are each set with 60 brilliant-cut diamonds. The silvered dial with Roman numeral hour markings is excellent.
Automatic Parmigiani Fleurier Tonda
Our list cannot skip the winner of the “best women’s watch” category at the recent GPHG – Grand Prix d’Horlogerie 2022. The Parmigiani Fleurier Tonda PF Automatic is a rose gold clock with a 36 mm diameter case and a Grain d’Orge guillochè dial embellished with brilliant-cut diamond indices.
This watch is for the woman who enjoys making a statement with elegance and who thinks that less is more especially when it comes to accessories for the wrist. It is understated but incredibly valuable (list price: 49,500.00 Swiss francs).
